Scenario Paintball

This is a paintblal game with a theme set up behind it: thewre are an endless number of themes that can be created makign the game feel and look very reailstic. Thee are a number of players; in many cases as many as a hundred are involved in each team.

Each team gets the theme (storyline) a day before the start of the game. There are usually two treams participating, having the general as a teams leader.

Each plaer is given a role and they should work together as a team in order to crry out and win an assigned mission. Props in accordannce with the tehme are introduced and distributed throughout the field. There are questions asked in conection with the theme and points are awarded for correct answers.

Tehse pints are totaled at the conclusion of the game and the team having the most number of points wins.

Backyard

This can be played roight at your own backyyard, a friends empty property or at times any property but you must as you get pemission first. You gather your frioends to form a group and then conceptualize your own game whih typically is captrue the flag.

Speedball

Also called Cneter Flag, the speedball field is designed with many huge bunkers; usuaally infflatables filled with air that are shaped similar to big snakes, soda cans, wateer tzanks etc.

Here, a team can be composed of between three to ten players in a game. There is only one flag that is involved and it is located at the ceenter of a field. The two tams start at each end of the field and attempt to gain posdsession of the flag at the center and carrry it to their bunker. The team that does this successfluly wins.

Pantball Tournaments can surely challenge the solider in you. Tournaments attract many spectators of all ages, as it is a very exciting game to watch. The slport of paintall has a distinct and accurate set of rules that are strictlly followed. The producer of the tournament is the absolute authority in regard to either an alteration or addition to the rules; marshals oversee the event, and their decision is alwayus final.

There must be a lot of team work involved, as everyone moves through the field. As a team membeer moves, theere sholud be others to guard and keep wattch and give off coveing shots when necessary. A team that moves together with a common objective will have a great chance of succeeding in this game.

Communication in the field is also very important. A team-mate can shuot the position of the opponent. The moment that a plaer is seen, the game for that playr is up; so there is no reason for you to keep quiet; instead, inform the others the lcation of the eneemy.

The xecitement of this game concludes when you are seen and eliminated - a situaton that all team players strugle to aovid.

Teams and groups are not the same. A group is just a collection of people with a shared interest. A team is much more focused with specific roles, ways of working, objectives, sense of mission and required performance standards.

The first issue to think about in terms of creating a team is to think of the roles people play in the team as well as their specialist professional role, e.g. lawyer, design engineer and so forth.

All teams need an ideas person who can trigger the creative processes of the team. We also need someone to coordinate the team’s activities, someone else to set the direction of the team, and someone to manage and calm down any conflict which may occur in the team.

The next issue relating to a sound team foundation is that conflict and disagreement needs to be handled effectively and openly to avoid the real meetings taking place after the scheduled meeting. This leads to a tendency to create ‘in crowds’ and ‘out crowds’ and cliques rather than one properly bonded team.

Shared goals and standards of performance are important to avoid ambiguity in the way the team works together.

Finally the team needs to focus on team outputs rather than the gratification of individual egos and ‘political’ disagreements within the team.

These five issues together with setting a team credo of vision, mission and values for what the team is trying to achieve and how it achieves its objectives are vital in creating an effective team.

In summary;

•Make sure your team is balanced with all roles represented within the team even if one person has two roles.

•Check that the five issues of trust, conflict managent, shared goals, agreed standards of performance and team outputs are being dealt with effectivley.

3,Commit to a regular meeting with your group to evaluate and work on your plans.Your meeting could be once a week or twice a week it does not really matter. What matters most is your commitment to this meeting.

4,Maintain a good relationship with all the members of your group if you want your plan to succeed. Remember part of what makes us human is the need to be valued, appreciated, and a sense of belonging.

I remember when i set out to become an author, I received loads of rejection slips almost daily, which was a very discouraging experience for me.
