Perfectly Imperfect
By Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD

As the car insurance commercial intones, ‘Life comes at you fast.’ It is the adaptations you made and indoctrinations you incorporated that shapes your life in ways you might not see. You might have something you are uncertain about-your appearance, career, relationships-these uncertainties are a part of everyone’s experiences at some time or another.

When you compare yourself with others you might feel badly, because, it seems that you are unable to measure up. However, you are not looking at every part of that person, nor are you able to see every part of yourself. Keep in mind that picking and choosing qualities and characteristics of other people and weighing them against yourself will yield an incomplete picture.

When you realize you are perfectly imperfect as everyone else, it will be easier for you to accept and feel comfortable in your own skin. That is not to say that self-improvement is unnecessary, quite the opposite. The soul’s sole purpose for being on this earth plane is for emotional and spiritual growth.

Understanding that you are whole and complete just as you are will give you a healthier view of your life. Thus, judging yourself in comparison with others is foolhardy and causes angst that creates low self-esteem, lack of confidence and stress.

Everyone is a perfectly imperfect human being with struggles, concerns and uncertainties. Seeing others as perfectly imperfect will help you to view yourself against a more accurate picture-that of a human, being who needs the same support and kindness as you. As my parents said, ‘No matter one’s beliefs or behavior, we all have the same color of blood.’

Positively Thinking Your Way to a Great Attitude - Create Your Dream Life!

Positively Thinking Your Way to a Great Attitude - Create Your Dream Life!
By Teniola Ngenegbo

Why can’t this life be perfect? Why won’t it be like… (Your definition of a perfect life without worries)? Why do the banks have to be distressed? Why do they have to be rescued with tax payers money - my money? Why do I have to lose my job? Why can’t I get a decent job? Why won’t she (he) fall in love with me? Why won’t our political leaders be more prudent? More accountable? More coordinated? Why do I have such a mountainous pile-up of debt? Why won’t it snow in summer? Why is this mean, old cat forever chasing those poor mice? Why…? Why…? Why…?

What if this life is perfect? What if it is like… (your definition of a perfect life without worries)? What if the banks are strong and thriving? And don’t need rescuing? What if I am still employed at my dream job? What if I have a decent job? What if she (he) falls in love with me? What if our political leaders are more prudent? More accountable? More coordinated? What if I had no debts, filling my life with miseries? What if I was debt-free? What if it does snow in summer? What if the cat does stop chasing the mouse? What if…?

What if I say to you - it can be done! What is it? This perfect life without worries you dream about and long for so much, it is difficult, and nearly impossible to live in the present? What if you truly could make it happen? This perfect life without worries!
How? What would have happened for it to be?

The first thing that would have to happen is that you will change your thoughts! Focus your attention and thinking on what’s working, and beautiful, and right, and healthy, and honourable, and promotes life. Think positive and inspirational thoughts. A tip to help you do this better and more often, is to read good books. Read inspirational and motivational books. Also, watch/listen to motivational resources.

As you begin to expose yourself to positive, healthy things and constantly make positive affirmations, you will notice certain things start to happen. First, your understanding about a lot of lifes issues begins to change. They become clearer, better defined. You become more aware that there are certain things we cannot change in life. You understand enough to accept those with grace. Then you realize there are some things you can change - and you get to work on those.

Soon enough, you realize that your feelings and response to life has improved. You are no longer stressed up. This is described as your attitude - healthy and positive in this case. But which before then, was unhealthy and negative, and was the reason why you were so stressed-up and unhappy about a lot of issues before.

You see, your attitude comes about as a result of what you focus on. Your Thoughts. These produce feelings, which prompt you to action, or inaction. Which produces a result - Your Reality!

When you focus your attention on positive things, your perception or understanding improves for better. You are able to focus your attention on what you want, and become open to attract it into your life. On the other hand, focusing your attention on what is not right or what’s wrong with you, the world and everything else simply attracts those not-right things into your life! This is simply the law of attraction at work.

You choose how you experience your world. That is why it is so important that you choose and cultivate a healthy attitude to life. This brings us back to the beginning - and answers your ponderings - What if this life is perfect? What if it is like… (Your definition of a perfect life without worries). A worry free life. And YES YOU CAN! Now you know how.

EFT Practitioners - Wondering What’s More Important - Tapping on Past Memories Or Core Issues?

EFT Practitioners - Wondering What’s More Important - Tapping on Past Memories Or Core Issues?
By AnaMaria Herrera

EFT Practitioners, we’re going to get really honest now.

Raise your hand if you’ve found yourself on the internet into the wee hours of the morning looking for tapping scripts (for you or your client) to cure/ heal/get over

* A chronic physical condition
* A phobia you’ve had for years
* Your blocks to financial abundance
* Healing grief or anxiety
* An embarrassing or stubborn condition

I might be assuming, but I think we all have our hands raised!

And haven’t we all been told to tap on the painful past memories?

But we’ve also been instructed to find our Core Issues…

So which is it?

I actually believe it’s both.

To get to the root of our conditions and reach our goals we have to tap both: Past memories AND Core Issues.

In fact, I don’t see them so much as opposite camps but rather partners in crime! Because:

*Core Issues are made from past painful experiences and the beliefs, vows and decisions we have made from those traumas

But also,

*Past painful experiences create Core Issues because we then make decisions based on these experiences which we live out in our adult lives.

See how these two tribes feed into each other?

But wait! There’s good news. Actually really, great news in fact.

You can get not only clear painful experiences but get the Core Issues on your side, so that they actually serve you and the goals you want to achieve.

We do this with Emotional Freedom Techniques.

But we need to know the right questions to ask.

But you might be thinking…

Sounds like a lot of work
I feel overwhelmed and not sure where to start
I don’t have hours to tap on past childhood memories

I totally understand, I remember feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start when I first discovered EFT.

EFT Practitioners will write me after attending one live workshop after another, buying DVDs and combing the EFT sites on the internet on exactly how to best get to the root of their clients conditions and clear it with Emotional Freedom Techniques.

The good news is that success lives clues, and successful EFT Practitioners that are wanting to share with others what they know works and what they know doesn’t.

The best advice I can give to EFT Practitioners is to invest in your education and training specifically on getting to Core Issues.

It will prove to be one of the most beneficial skills you can develop, I know you’ll be glad you did.

And so will your patients and clients.

Are You Left Handed?

Are You Left Handed?
By Diane Palmer

By being left handed, you have automatic membership into a special group of people. That group is only 7 to 10% of the population, and yet we are not a silent group, as many famous people in our history, past and present, are left handed.

It is said that we “think differently” that we “look at things in a different way”, which obviously helped many left handed people to succeed in a right handed world.

Here is just a tiny list of some left handed people, that you should recognize:

Bill Gates
Ringo Star
Jimi Hendrix
Henry Ford
Paul McCartney
Leonardo da Vinci
Albert Einstein

Just to name a few.. All very creative and successful. It has been said that as a left handed person, we are “right brained”, which would support the fact that we think a little differently than right handed people. There are businesses out there that like to have a point of view from both right and left handed employees for a “different approach” to a problem.

But, because we are a minority, we have to be able to live life in a right handed world, which means we have to get creative with scissors, pens, knives, tools.. and even can openers can be a pain. If you are an older leftie, than you know how hard it was in school. I had a teacher that tried to change me, and I ended up stuttering, as this was not natural. But since then I have found my love in art, painting, drawing and more as a true left hander.

I have found many great left handed products and tools out there now, that make my life easier so that I can get on with what I do best.. arts and crafts.

http://www.make-crafts-for-cash.com/lefthanded.html click here for some great left handed tools, scissors, craft tools, can openers, watches, garden tools and much more. Even things you have just resigned to using right handed… take a look, this is a great site. Article and website by Diane Palmer

Self Improvement is a Simple Process When You See Yourself in a New Perspective

Self Improvement is a Simple Process When You See Yourself in a New Perspective
By Leon Edward

There are many simple, yet powerful ways to unlocking the power to improve yourself. Before delving into these strategies, let us take a moment and imagine that we are standing in front of an immense painting. We could look at the work of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, Rene Magritte, Gustav Klimt, Vincent Van Gogh, Rembrandt Van Rijn, or even Pablo Picasso. When we are close to these pieces of art, we are able to see some of the strokes and ripples in detail. While we can have an appreciation for these details, as we back up and get a glance of the picture as a whole - it is then we can gain a new appreciation for it….If you look at your life in the same way, you can begin unlocking the power to improve yourself!

Many of us simply go through life, accepting it just as it is. We often focus on details in our life, yet disregard the “big picture”. If you look at your life as you would a painting, you would soon realize that the entire time that you are in existence; you are painting the picture of your life, the masterpiece of who you are. All of those details that you focus on consistently are actually quite important to your life’s art, but must work in conjunction with a large-scale picture. If you focus on painting one corner on the canvas that you are using to paint the picture of your life, you will never think outside of that corner. Therefore, your art piece will be incomplete, and the little bit that is completed will pose no significance, no relevance…you must take a step back, and consider the larger picture!

As we work to paint the picture of our lives, many obstacles may occur. It is not uncommon for a mistake to occur, for instance. If you are wanting to go through the process of unlocking the power to improve yourself, you will take this mistake and learn from it. Now, you know which way not to move the brush, or what color not to use in a particular area, maybe even that this change can result in a positive addition to your painting. If you want to improve yourself, you must see your mistakes as positive learning experiences that will benefit your overall self-growth. You must never consider your mistakes as “failures”. Remember, there are no such things as actual failures, there are simply more creative ways to achieve the success that you seek!

As we continue painting our masterpiece in life, we will come to points in which something does not seem right. The color may not be right, or a certain section of the painting seems to be unfitting. It will be very tempting to give up. I mean, we work so hard on these pieces of art, and when something does not go right, it just seems to be pointless, right? Wrong! Back up! Look again! Think of all the creative ways that you can resolve the issue that you are facing. Make the part you are unhappy with into something you are happy with! If you want to improve yourself, take what you do not like about yourself and then make it into something you are happy with!

Self-improvement is not as difficult as many would come to believe. It is a simple process. The challenge is convincing yourself to see things in a different perspective. Sometimes, you have to take the picture that you are painting of life, and move it to different lighting. In many cases, you may have to look at it from a different angle. Regardless of how you do it, or what you have to do, it is your perspective that must be altered in order to accomplish the task of improving yourself. If you can accomplish this, anything and everything is possible!
